PORTRAITS

'Vulnerability'

My final degree show exhibition was about how we feel about our bodies being exposed for everyone to see us. We live our lives trying to be what we think the media and social media think is right. But it's not, there is no perfect body, or diet. We should all love the bodies we are in. The women that took part in this exhibition are now more prouder and love themselves that little bit more.

'Self-same, No Duff with Dean Owen'

This collaboration project really hit home for me. Working as a group, we decided on focusing on people who we thought would have interesting and unique stories; ex military, a new mother, a drag queen and a foreign student living in the U.K. I worked with Dean, and we talked about his charity 'No Duff', that was set up to help ex-servicemen and women from the military, police and other armed forces who needed help and support. Working on this project opened my eyes to the story side of my work and how important it is to build that relationship with the model. I know what I see when I look at these photos.

'Anonymous Portrait'

A real personal favourite shoot of mine. It was so different to my usual style, there was colour. This project was about masking the models identity and it gave us a chance to be quirky with it. I don't know how I came up with this idea but something made me think, body paint and a model willing to let me do what I want.
